Albert is a real tortoise and the inspiration behind Ian Brown’s series of Albert the Tortoise books. In this fun and interactive event, Ian will share how combining real events and imagination can lead to a story idea.
Joined by his inflatable dinosaur, he’ll delve into fascinating facts about tortoises: how old they can get, are they fast or slow, do they hibernate and what they eat, plus he’ll tell you all about turtles and their dinosaur cousins. Inspired by his Albert the Tortoise series and his Hugg ‘n’ Bugg books, there will be colour-in sheets, stickers and storytelling.
Ian Brown, former journalist turned TV writer and producer (credits include Top Gear, The Simpsons, This Is Your Life and The South Bank Show), is now a children’s book author.
