Seacity Rising: A Tale of Unwatery Adventures

3rd November 2019 @ 2:30 pm - 3:15 pm

Come and meet Elika Ansari, writer, social scientist, and humanitarian professional. EIika currently works in Greece, in what has recently been described as ‘the world’s worst refugee camp’. She’ll be reading from her book Seacity Rising: A Tale of Unwatery Adventures, which tells the story of how small animals are starting to make sense of the global phenomenon of climate change and the destruction and displacement it causes. She will also reflect on how her writing in general is inspired by the many touching stories of hardship and perseverance she has had the (mis)fortune of hearing while working with refugees. The session will be both emotional and inspiring.

Ages: 8-12 years

Accessibility: Fully accessible with dsabled toilet. Some space for buggies.

Event capacity: 40

How to book:

Please note: Some tickets will be available on the door.
